The deal will then be sent to London for signing by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

"This is a fair and balanced agreement that fully protects the core interests of the European Union and creates stability and predictability for citizens and companies," Michel said during the signing.

The deal must then be reviewed by the European Parliament and the Council of Europe before it is ratified by the European Union.

Recall that on December 24, the United Kingdom and the European Union reached an agreement on a post-Brexit trade agreement. The parties agreed to maintain a visa-free regime and not introduce quotas and tariffs in the trade sphere.
